Resolute is analytical in our approach to everything we do. This initiated our need to record and track usage for the premiere iPhone and Android Applications we were creating for our clients. In reading Apple's terms of service we realized they disallow third party analytics tags in applications in iTunes (they currently turn their head to this but you never know when that will change). To do so, we created our own proprietary analytics libraries and embed them in every application we produce.

Website traffic from mobile devices is increasing rapidly, especially for ecommerce sites where customers are using their handheld devices for comparison shopping. When the visits are made through the device's browser, the standard analytics software packages will provide detailed information about those visits. However, in the case of smartphones and tablets, the connection is typically made from within apps, and unless analytics tracking software has been built into the app, information about the visit or app usage will not be included.

Resolute has solved this problem building its own proprietary tracking software into all of its apps. Actions such as downloads, sessions, and "screen views", as well as geo coordinates (if permitted), device type, and session and view lengths are all recorded. The information is then summarized and presented in an visually appealing form through a Mobile Analytics Dashboard.
